24 drivers from 10 countries competing in six rounds – this is in short the third season of the of prestigious and innovative racing series, the Volkswagen Golf Cup. Preparations for the third year are in full swing and the calendar of events as well as the starting list guarantee that this year’s struggles in the Volkswagen Golf Cup will provide even more excitement. 

Along with another year of fight, Volkswagen Golf Cup is not slowing down presenting additional news. One of them are two brand new tracks that have appeared in the schedule – both of them are well-known in the world of motorsport namely Oschersleben and Sachsenring. In July, drivers will visit Germany for the third time and every time they will be accompanying prestigious ADAC GT Masters, which is one of the most popular racing series in Germany. In addition, Golfs GTI equipped with 2-liter TSI engines and DSG gearbox prepared by Volkswagen Racing Polska will also accompany the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) at Slovakia Ring. Calendar complement the well-known round at Automotodrom Brno and exciting season traditionally will end on Tor Poznań.

This year’s news does not stop only on the calendar, since the in 2015 season, almost all rounds will be available live through technology of live steraming. Fans who unfortunately will not be able to appear on the track during that weekend, will have the opportunity to follow the fights of the Volkswagen Golf Cup via the Internet.  

 Volkswagen Golf Cup calendar 2015 

Another important information regarding the upcoming season is the starting list, because we already know all the 24 drivers who will regularly compete in the Volkswagen Golf Cup. This year, more than 30 professional engineers of Volkswagen Racing Polska will look after cars of drivers from Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Russia, Sweden, Finland, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and, of course, Poland. We will see plenty drivers well-known from previous editions of the cup, so you can expect that those who were on the podium in previous years, want to reach for the coveted title.

It is worth adding that in the 24-drivers grid there are as many as 14 drivers from outside the Poland, which clearly confirms the international character of the Cup, which this year will be the only one of this type of motorsport activity of Volkswagen in Europe.
