The lights on the grid went out few minutes after 3 p.m. and the fastest was Jeffrey Kruger, who managed to overtake the leader on the very first lap of the race. The winner from Oschersleben was faster and faster after each lap and he managed to cross the finish line with the 2,587 seconds gap before the second Marcus Fluch, who also overtook the pole sitter Dylan Pereira. This duo didn’t have a comfortable race though, as the driver from Luxembourg was chasing the Swede all the time. Not that far away was also Piotr Parys, who finished on the 4th place in his fourth race in the Volkswagen Golf Cup career.

The last from the top 5 was Michał Gadomski, who also was very close to the leaders and lost only one second to Parys. Adam Rzepecki finished on the 6th place in front of Andre Gies, Gosia Rdest and Sebastian Arriola. The four of the driver were really close to each other during the whole distance and the rivalry was very hot until the last meters of the race. The 10th driver on the finish was Simon Larsson.

Jeffrey Kruger: – Yesterday race wasn’t that bad, however it is very good to finish the weekend with big points. On the 1st race I made a mistake, but today I drove very well and managed to avoid unnecessary troubles. I was already on the 1st place after the first turn, as I took the better racing line than my rivals. I can’t wait for the next Volkswagen Golf Cup rounds!

Marcus Fluch: This is my second podium finish this weekend as I managed to cross the line on 2nd position once again. I am really happy with this result and I managed to gain a lot of points, what is positive. My goal for forthcoming weekend in Lausitzring in two week time will be two wins.

Dylan Pereira: – I managed to win yesterday and today another podium finish, a really nice finish of what have been a very successful weekend for me. I completed my goals for this round, despite little problems with handling of the car during the end. I was able to remain calm and cross the finish line on 3rd position.

The racing weekend in Slovakia has reached its finish, but this time drivers won’t have that much time to rest. After just one weekend off, the Volkswagen Golf Cup returns to the rivalry on the German venue Lausitzring, where the competitors will fight in the company of a famous ADAC GT Masters series, while both of the races in Germany will be possible to watch via livestreaming.
